Tonight was Dining Out for Life, where restaurants all over the Twin Cities donate a portion of their proceeds to The Aliveness Project, which supports people living with HIV/AIDS. We took it as an opportunity to introduce Jude to Thai food and I'm stoked to say that Jude is down with the Pad Thai (as long as there isn't any protein involved).

Jude wanted to know if he could play with the coasters. I didn't realize that "playing" meant putting them all away in the holder. Yes, little Jude. You can play all you want.

Trio of hats
Today was "hat day" at school. The night before, we'd purchased a new bathing suit set that came with a hat. Perfect. Except that the hat was too small. Didn't bother Jude, though. He didn't want to take it off. I ransacked the drawer upstairs and found the white one - an INFANT hat, which actually did fit him. He loved it, hanging strap, and all. That's what he wore to school.
We made a stop at Target after school to get him a proper hat, and the Twins hat did the trick!

It's official. Jude is now obsessed with plastic eggs. And the prospect of candy or coins inside each one. I fear we might be hunting eggs for the rest of our lives.

We're still a long way from potty trained, but there's definitely an interest in trying and reading the Potty book! Plus, we let Jude choose some new Thomas undies at Target the other day. Still, that toilet has yet to be officially christened.

We have quite the active group of neighborhood kids. They're not all here, but the two little ones, Lilly and Van, are the cat's meow, as far as Jude is concerned.

Here she is... Jude's most favorite neighborhood friend, Kayla. She greets Jude every day when he comes home from school with a big hug. And her favorite color is purple. Watch out.

Jude has a new favorite song. We listen to it on repeat in the car every chance we get. Twinkle Twinkle Little Star? Baa Baa Black Sheep? Itsy Bitsy Spider? Oh no. Intergalactic by the Beastie Boys. Isn't that every 2 year old's favorite song?

(Oh and the awesome outfit? Yes... he leaked out of his naptime diaper at school.... AGAIN.)
